The 3Rs- ‘Reflection, Relationships and Resilience’ posed by Dan, are way more important in life than the 3Rs (reading, writing and arithmetic) that governments push our teachers to teach and our students to learn. Without the first 3Rs, there is no way of achieving the latter!

I read The Telomere Effect and yes amazing that longevity comes from mindfulness. (I’ve not had a cold for flu for 2 years as mindfulness strengthen’s immunity) And thoughts that fire, wire. (check Joe Dispenza) He’s revolutionary in epigenetics and neuroplasticity. Possibilities are connected to quantum field. Yes! I get it Dan! When we connect our awareness to the quantum field our consciousness in presence we creates the infinite field of possibilities beyond time and space. The new age of Quantum!

Hi, I had an idea a few years ago, before I saw your work actually, and I’m wondering if it works with your concept of the wheel. I imagined awareness as the centre of one of those plasma ball lamps and when you touch the outside and the beams of light all move to your finger that that was like when your attention is drawn to a particular element of your experience, which could happen with or without intention. Just wondering if that makes sense, or not! Thanks for the talk, great stuff to build on everything I’ve learnt so far from Whole Brain Child and No Drama Discipline.

A valuable lesson about how mindful education contribute to wellness. Growing a healthy mind is related to having a healthy body and some very important character treats. Thank you!

Thanks so much! My favorite quote “Where attention goes, neural firing flows, and neural connection grows”

Inspiring! Filled me with hope and possibilities for inclusion in the classroom, I love the idea of the ‘pause between impulse and action’ by ‘dropping into the plane of possibility’
    Thank you

Please try to scale up & spread the Mindful Education campaign, globally, making it a mass movement.
Think BIG and be BOLD since this movement could potentially bring awareness to other issues
like climate change & spread of terrorism/fundamentalism

Dr. Dan Siegel, will you please contact Association Montessori Internationale https://amiusa.org/ to be our Keynote at the next Refresher Course? I’ve seen your talk at the Learning and the Brain Conference in SF (you then let a small group of us know about another event across the Bay for us to to hear Jon Kabat-Zinn, who happened to be speaking in Berkeley). That event week has since set me on an entire new life trajectory! Thank you. I now teach elementary students in a Montessori school where we actually embody this approach you speak of. Connect with us Montessorians. Study us! Let us help confirm your research.

Very interesting and informative. “The wheel of Awareness” and the metaphor of a candle the wick and the light were wonderful examples of coming into a state of awareness
