    I am Juvenile Services Specialist in a Behavioral Rehabilitation program. I work with 12 to 21 year old youth, who struggle with trauma and behavioral skills. I look forward to gaining more tools to help each individual and to broaden my education with new practices.

    Hi All,
    I reside in New Zealand working as a secondary school teacher and have a son with ADHD so I feel learning more about mindfulness in teaching and parenting would be hugely beneficial for my lifestyle. I am studying towards gaining a qualification in inclusive education as I work with at risk youth. But I think that any learning of mindfulness could adapt my life in a positive way, so I am looking forward to it.

    Hi all! This is Joana Franco. I’m a Ph.D. candidate at USU (UT, USA) researching ways to introduce mindfulness in higher education. I am interested in everything mindfulness, but particularly in the realm of education. I am currently in training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield to become a certified mindfulness teacher.     Hello! I am excited to join you this week. I am an elementary teacher in Michigan, and have been teaching the Mindful Schools curriculum in my classroom for a few years now. My personal practice has changed the way I teach and view emotions in the classroom. It is such a joy to watch the children grow in using the mindfulness tools they are taught, and I am always curious to learn more ways to teach these strategies.

    Good Evening.
    I am a diverse learners’ teacher and Social & Emotional Learning leader to a high school in my district. Two years ago my school used Transcendental Meditation. During that time our attendance increased along with grade; behavioral infractions and the suspension rate decreased. I miss this program. I want to be able to offer my students other methods to deal with daily trauma and increase their knowledge of SEL.

    I am a grandmother raising my grandson who is almost 7 years old. He’s also on the spectrum for autism. We are doing lots of kids yoga and meditation but i can always use more education!! Right now we are loving Cosmic kids yoga and meditations..the best. Thanks for sharing all the info.

    As an elementary school counselor, I continue to see the need for our youngest students to learn to calm their bodies and minds in order to be successful in the classroom and in everyday life.
