Hi All. I am a teacher in Boulder and a friend and I signed up for this during a busy week of conferences. We were reflecting that we usually need mindfulness and meditation the most when we are busiest and stressed, but it doesn’t seem to come as easily doing these times either. With this course, we’re making a commitment to take some time out for ourselves.

    Good Evening,
I am Diane from Sauk Prairie, WI and I teach in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. Every time I listen to a speaker on Mindfulness, I learn something relevant that I can use in my day to day work with children. I also find that sometimes I need reminders of ways I can incorporate Mindfulness into mine and my students’ day. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to hear from so many experts.

Was is applied attachment thinking in schools, how is it related to mindfulness, is it a formal formula or process? Is it, if there iscan it here, buddhism based? I am a faithful live my faith and live in relationship with others, marraige and family provisionally certified therapist, and i have wondered many times how mindfulness does not mean to detach, when i feel so drawn to connect. What am i missing ? Lots of questions

Hi, I am a PhD student at the University of Bath ,UK. My PhD is in Education and my research is focused on a cross-cultural(between a western and eastern context) study of Contemplative Education with regards to teacher skills enhancement and school improvement. I place special emphasis on Mindfulness as to explore in what ways and to what extent it influences certain education practices of teachers and what both cultures can learn from each other.
Hence, this Summit is something that I am looking forward to as it would offer me an opportunity to learn and widen my perspectives from the experts of my field of interest! Thank you.

I see that the vast majority of comments are from women. Though this is good, the people running the corporate world, and the military complex are mostly men. Men know the feelings of aggression, anger and sex with the rest of the feelings being at best vague impressions. I would hope this summit addresses the issue that mostly women meditate and not men. We need to find ways to fix this imbalance.

    • Louise October 15, 2018 at 12:46 am - Reply

I agree with you. As a teacher of boys I’m hoping to bring them the new-found skills.
